Hernan Gras's inspiration, with a brilliant wine career in Canada, along with the business vision of his brother Edward combined with the business pragmatism of Cristián Hartwig, who comes from a family with a long tradition of winemaking and deeply rooted in Colchagua, comes together to give birth to MontGras in 1993, which was proposed from the outset to be the winery with the best premium wine from Chile. It is no coincidence that the large number of international awards that have recognized the professional work, consistency and innovation of MontGras wines.
You can enjoy an unforgettable tour traveling through the Garden of Varieties, enjoying the tranquility of the Colchagua Valley and experiencing a unique moment, while getting to know more about the culture and wines of Chile. The tour concludes with a wine tasting, where you can learn the characteristics of three varieties of wine accompanied by a snack specially chosen to enhance the benefits of both and find the perfect balance.
The U.S. magazine Wine & Spirits has selected Casa Silva as "Winery of the Year 2010", the highest honor that is annually given to the best vineyards in the world. Emilio Buchon (Casa Silva founder) arrived in Chile in 1892 from Bordeaux, with the dream of being a pioneer by planting high-quality vines in Colchagua Valley. Casa Silva is the oldest winery in Colchagua, in terms of history and tradition, nevertheless, under this traditional old facade hides one of the most modern wineries of Chile. The Polo Club and the delicious Vine Restaurant are both located at the vineyard in the middle of the countryside, where you will enjoy a full lunch accompanied by wines from the Reserve line.
